Bjorn is a corn farmer's son. Jamie is an inventor and artist. The two met at Bard College, where Bjorn became known for his delicious family popcorn recipe. When Jamie developed a low cost solar cooking technique, he immediately thought of Bjorn's popcorn. BjornQorn sun-popped corn was born.

To get temperatures that are high enough to make BjornQorn, we invented a new type of solar concentrator called the Caloris Basin. Our reflective dish is set right into the ground, making it ten times cheaper than solar panels while occupying half the space.
Our signature technology, the Caloris Basin, is great on a small scale, too! We are developing dirt cheap kits that provide the same heat as a range top stove.
