Our popcorn is popped directly by the heat of the sun. We use an enourmous mirrored reflector to collect the sun's rays and focus them on our kettle. In four minute's time we can pop 10 bags of BjornQorn, year round. Eat it and repeat it!
Bjorn is a Minnesota corn farmer's son and Jamie is an artist and inventor. The two met at Bard College, where Bjorn became known for his delicious family popcorn recipe and Jamie for his wild concepts and contraptions. During a historic session of catch in New York's central park, their collaboration was set into motion. Now on sunny days at a hudson valley farm you will find the two dodging clouds and managing mountains of pure golden popcorn popped by the oldest and dearest energy source we have, the sun!
